About Me

Since becoming appointed as a Celebrant I take great pride in the work I do and get a tingle each time I pronounce a couple as officially married. Every couple I meet is special and I love hearing the stories of how they met and what led them to their Wedding Day.

I am a Marriage Celebrant based in Golden Grove and I conduct ceremonies throughout Adelaide and South Australia, however you are welcome to take me to any location in Australia to marry you. My passion to become a Celebrant was ignited when I was completing my Diploma in Event Management and I just felt completely drawn to the role - and as someone who loves to talk it really is the perfect job for me!

I am married myself with 3 young children along with an energetic Kelpie who all keep me on my toes! Organising my Wedding was a hectic but amazing experience and I wish the day hadn’t gone by as quickly as it did and I can now share any tips that helped me with my couples – like how to overcome the nerves.

Being a Celebrant is an amazing honour and what a fabulous job I have as I get to meet couples who all have different styles and allow me share such a special part of their day. After being appointed in September 2015 I have been lucky enough to marry over 400 gorgeous couples and I conduct all types of wedding ceremonies as I am LBQTI+ Friendly since forever.

Weddings

Being based in the Tea Tree Gully area of Adelaide I am lucky enough to have some amazing venues right on my doorstep like The Inglewood Inn, Glen Ewin Estate, Al-Ru Farm, Sfera’s, Sunnybrae Estate and Steven’s Estate Gardens. Once you have your date and your venue locked in then you should then start arranging your other major suppliers like your Photographer, Videographer, DJ and of course - your Celebrant.

Deciding which Celebrant is the one for you really is a personal choice as it is important to find one that suits your style. Every couple has a different view of what is the perfect celebration for them, be it intimate, casual, formal or extravagant and with so many Celebrant’s to choose from it really can be overwhelming. So to start - scroll through their websites, make sure to check out their reviews and if someone has personally recommended them to you then that is the best kind of referral as they have most likely seen them in action. Ideally narrow your search down to no more than 3 to meet with and when you have met the ‘one’, you will know it.

My style of ceremonies are based more on what I like to call ‘real life’ and how relationships and marriages are about working as a team, enjoying life together, supporting each other through the tough times and getting used to each other’s interesting habits; as opposed to everyone is perfect and you will live happily ever without any drama. I work closely with my couples to make sure they are completely happy with the ceremony wording and making it personalised to them.

My calendar books out quickly and often 12-18 months in advance for peak dates and Saturdays so if you think I might be the one for you, please get in touch to arrange a time to catch up for a coffee....or a wine and a chat as I really don’t like disappointing couples when I have to tell them I am not available on their date. I am able to conduct more than 1 ceremony in a day as long as there is no risk of either weddings being affected in any way.

If you weren’t aware – in Australia you must complete the Notice of Intended Marriage 1 month prior to your wedding date so you can legally marry on that date so don’t leave your celebrant until the last minute or you will just be having an expensive party.

Pricing

As each ceremony is unique, it is not as simple as asking ‘how much is your fee’ so please contact me for my Information Pack and personalised quote. There are many factors that determine the fee such as day of the week, size of the wedding and distance to travel. I can accommodate any size wedding from a registry office ‘legal’s only’ style, elopement (up to 10 guests), micro-wedding (up to 30 guests) to as many guests as you like.

Your fee includes all meetings, travel, use of my high quality PA system that can also be used for your ceremony music (if required), unlimited phone/email messages, guidance with your ceremony inclusions, the ceremony preparation and vows, a pre-wedding rehearsal and of course solemnising your wedding and all required legal documents.

When comparing Celebrant’s fees – please take into account that each wedding we conduct takes a minimum of 10-15 hours of planning, preparation, meetings and travel so it’s not as simple as arriving at the ceremony location on the day for the wedding.

I am now offering weekday Legals Only and Registry Style Weddings so please check out my page www.adelaideregistrystyleweddings.com.au for these as I am separating them from my packages and I have also teamed up with Sferas for a Registry Style Wedding Package so check that out there too.

I am also the Celebrant in the Inglewood Inn’s Elopement Package and also the Sunnybrae Winter Package (page 13) so check them out too.

Other Ceremonies

Along with Weddings I am also able to conduct Funerals so please get in touch if I can assist you and your family should you require a funeral celebrant.
